A line & copy edit is a sentence-level edit focused on perfecting the flow and structure of your manuscript. I will meticulously polish your prose and give feedback using Track Changes and inline comments.
Errors , inconsistencies, and flow issues will be identified and corrected in your manuscript using Track Changes and inline comments for explanation of edits and further suggestions.
I will address spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and hyphenation. I will also correct redundancy, consistency, tense and POV shifts, and paragraph structure.
My primary goal is the overall flow of the story for the enjoyment of the reader. To give them the best experience, I will remove or correct excess filler words, suggest fixes for passive voice, and the dreaded show vs. tell debacle.
Once your manuscript has been edited, it will go back to you for integration of the edits. Once this is complete, I'll take it back for a final proofread to correct any errors introduced during the assimilation of the edits.
